The problem
A venture studio CEO ran a complex web of entities: oil and gas LP base, SPVs and secondaries, food platform, hemp policy, energy. Information was scattered across Airtable, Slack, Google Drive, multiple QuickBooks instances, and iMessage. The team burned hours on scavenger hunts and CRM bloat. The CEO did not live in dashboards — he wanted answers via chat on his phone.
What we built
- Lindy stand-up for the CEO (inbox triage with drafted replies, iMessage assistant tied to CRM lookups, Slack natural-language CRM and QuickBooks agent, pre-meeting research briefs)
- Three-tier data architecture: Notion as context hub, Airtable as people/deals source-of-truth, Supabase as working data
- CRM rationalization with primary-tag taxonomy (Alternative LP, Do Not Market SPVs, VVIP)
- Investment Records / SPV pipeline auto-feed
- Roadmap to roll out to controller, EA, ops partner one user at a time
- Finance-ops plans for cross-QuickBooks dashboard, expense categorization, K-1/1099 chase, monthly invoice automation
