A VC partner got an AI that handles his inbox, deal flow, and follow-ups
A VC partner was spending too much time on email, follow-ups, and LinkedIn. We built an AI chief of staff that handles triage, drafts, and deal-flow tracking, plus a pilot for searching 40 years of legal documents.
The problem
A VC partner needed help managing deal flow, screening email, writing follow-ups, and staying active on LinkedIn. He also had a separate problem: 40 years of LP agreements, side letters, and amendments that no one could search without hiring someone to read through them.
What we built
- Every workflow was tested against his real Monday morning before anything was set up for the rest of the firm. He was the first user of everything.
- Deal-flow follow-ups now write themselves. AI reads each opportunity's stage, first intro, deck reviewed, term sheet, or diligence, and drafts the right next message in his voice. A standard email drip feels generic to a founder. These don't.
- Each morning his inbox is sorted and drafted. AI classifies every email as deal flow, portfolio company, fundraising, personal, or noise, then surfaces the top five with replies ready to send.
- LinkedIn drafts come out sounding like him. The model was trained on his past posts. He edits and publishes instead of starting from a blank page.
- A pilot for the legal archive lets anyone on the team ask plain-English questions about 40 years of documents. Questions like "which LPs have MFN clauses?" used to mean an associate spending weeks hunting. Now it takes minutes.
