How a logistics operator got an always-on AI assistant he owns and controls

The operator needed AI that fit into his daily workflow without adding new apps or vendor lock-in. We installed OpenClaw on a Mac Mini and connected it to the tools he already uses.

The problem

A logistics operator wanted AI help with his daily work. But he needed it to run on hardware he owns, not a cloud service that could raise prices or go offline. He also needed it to reach him through the apps he already uses throughout the day.

What we built

  • The operator owns his AI setup outright. OpenClaw runs on a Mac Mini behind his own firewall. No cloud vendor controls his data or can change his pricing.
  • He can reach his AI from any device he already uses. Telegram, Slack, and iMessage all connect to the same assistant. No new app to learn.
  • The highest-leverage part of his day is handled automatically. The AI reads inbound shipping notifications, dispatch updates, and customer questions, then drafts the next action. One workflow was intentionally built first: nail the most valuable use case before adding more.
  • The first two weeks were tuned against real work. Post-install support means the AI was adjusted based on actual logistics situations, not test scenarios.
