The problem

The owner of a Massachusetts asbestos remediation company was spending up to 4 hours per day building estimates by hand. Field reps would scope a job, upload notes and photos, and the owner would translate everything into a category-specific spreadsheet plus draft a customer proposal with the right legal language for each category. 1,500-2,000 estimates a year.

What we built

  • Chrome extension (Manifest V3) embedded inside the field-ops tool
  • Deterministic pricing engine that mirrors the existing Excel model for 13 categories
  • Auto-selects required and suggested legal language per category
  • One-click proposal generation with an explainability panel showing the "why" behind each line
  • Writes the estimate back into the field-ops tool via DOM manipulation
